Drilling Wells

The Ambakote area often experiences water shortages during the hot season, and the people are constantly worried about having enough clean water to use. Additionally, in Sri Lanka, there are many remote schools in great need of wells so the students in rural areas can have clean water for drinking and daily activities.

In June 2024, the first well was built by the monks and benefactors in the newly established village of Ambakote, helping more than 60 households have clean water for daily use. A few months later, the second well in Ambakote was pumped into a tank to help villagers utilize it during droughts. The third well in Sri Lanka is at Tamil Panwila school, providing clean water for 449 students.

The monastery gratefully accepts any donations you can offer.
